Servo Hydraulics

For realistic simulation of load and operating tates

Realistic simulation of the load states of industrial goods is essential to their form and design, and this can have a decisive impact on quality, durability and costs. Qualitatively, the layouts of axial servo-cylinders from SANDNER-Messtechnik GmbH are variable, and this makes them suitable for nearly all individual applications.

Consequently the customer can implement test equipment that meets individual needs. Hydraulic components from the SANDNER Hydraulic Products catalog meet the strictest standards with regard to geometric precision and reliability, so that we can offer our customers a high-quality product.

Axial Servo-Cylinders

Servo-cylinders convert hydraulic energy (controlled by servo-valves) into mechanical energy. They differ in their types of loading: For the axial servo-cylinder (SLZ) loading is defined in terms of translation, and for the torsional servo-cylinder (SDZ) it is in rotation. Our servo-cylinders are implemented in servo-hydraulic test machines and test systems for static and dynamic testing of materials and components.

All axial servo-cylinders satisfy the most stringent technical requirements related to amplitude and frequency for different curve characteristics. Excellent response behavior, extremely high piston speed, durability and economy are the product of experience, know-how and quality.

Custom Designs

Besides standard applications it is also possible to implement custom designs. This involves implementing a modular layout of standard components together with specially designed components.

Joint assembly of two servo-cylinders as an elevating platform; the servo-cylinders have hydrostatic bearings and transverse reinforcement.

Valves

Supply and control of Servo-Cylinders

A periphery is needed to supply and control the servo-cylinders. This periphery is limited to the valve level and is comprised of connection and servo-valves.

Connection valves supply a hydraulic oil consumer (servo-cylinder, etc.) with hydraulic oil. They are located as close as possible to the consumer and work according to the quiescent current principle (no current = closed).

Servo-valves are electrohydraulic control valves for controlling a source of hydraulic energy (pressure, flow). In conjunction with electrical control circuits and hydraulic cylinders in the servo-cylinder system they serve to convert hydraulic energy to controlled load sequences.

Repair & Maintanance

Preventive maintenance and repair are important preconditions for preserving the value, performance and life of the product. This includes both in-house and externally manufactured products.

One aspect of maintenance and repair is reprocessing of worn parts which, although they exhibit wear marks as a result of their use, can continue to be used troublefree after treatment.

Moreover, severely worn or defective components can be remanufactured in production with all of their original parameters, and can then be installed as replacements.

Repair of torsional cylinder piston (SDZ)

The most frequent repair jobsare performed by recoatingfollowed by sizing to the torsionalcylinder housing.

Less frequently pistons may need to be replaced due to cracks or other damage.

We would be glad to provide you with an individual quotation.

Repair of torsional cylinder housing (SDZ)

The most frequent repair jobsare performed by recoatingfollowed by sizing to the cylinder.

In fewer cases, the wear is either too extensive or cracks on the housing require remanufacture of the housing.

Piston repair Hydraulic cylinder

Because of enormous loadsand long service timesit is necessary to restorethe plasic coating as well asthe chrome plating.

We apply coating and chrome plating and grind all fit diameters to size.

Bearing repair Hydraulic cylinder

The bearings are also subjectto high loading. pressure and force losses can becorrected by restoring theplastic coating.

We would be glad to provideyou an individual quotation.

Piston repair Clamping tool

Due to high loading andfrequent use of the pistonsthe gouged face and plastic coating on the piston need to be restoredfrom time to time.

Exceptions such as casesof frequent rework ordamage often requireremanufacture of thepistons.

Ball joint repair for motor vehicle trailer coupling test bench

Because of high loadingand frequent use of the balljoint the plastic coating ofboth bearing shells must berestored.

This eliminates play andmakes it possible to readjustthe joint which is sometimesnecessary.

Repair Hydraulic cylinder

Because of enormous loadsand long service times itis necessary to reworkthe inside diameter byhoning.

This eliminates gouges and areas of wear. More costly refabrication is unnecessary.

Piston repair Hydraulic cylinder 35 kN Stroke 292 mm

Because of the enormousloads and long service timesit is necessary to restore theplastic coating and chromeplating on the piston.

We apply coatings, chrome platingand grind all fit diameters to theirspecified sizes, including complete assembly and final test run.

Customizing with accessories

The range of potential applications of objects depends directly on their adaptability to the environment. Unless certain preventive measures are taken, these options are exhausted very quickly for a single part, thereby restricting its application bandwidth.

The use of adaptive components or accessory parts is absolutely necessary to facilitate the use standardized components without having to resort to a large number of variants.

Use of such accessories makes it easy to interface uniform model variants to existing equipment and test stands.

Surface treatment for long service life under high loads

Surface treatments are very important for a large number of industrial goods. In the area of servo cylinders a special type of surface treatment has become the established practice.

Thermal plastic coating of surfaces offers the advantage of strong adhesion to the base material and high impact resistance. Another advantage is realized due to the machinability of the part after coating to assure dimensional stability and long life under severe part loading.
